abstract
Made in 1919, a documentary on the contributions made by the Royal Navy during World War I. The film depicts the training of naval cadets, ship builiding during wartime, defense of convoy routes, the bombardment of Zeebrugge, the work of mine sweepers and drifters in Dover Harbour and elsewhere, aircraft training and liasion, the visit of King George V to the fleet, the exploits of H.M.S Vindictive, a depiction of life on the H.M.S Canada, and a First Battle Squadron live gun and torpedo firing practice on board H.M.S. Revenge.
