A Look Inside
First Chapter
Epics are rich in lists. This volume has its own lists to offer, starting with a rich crop of new names it brings into the epic field but it also takes a fresh look at work by authors more readily or even traditionally associated with the epic genre. The new readings of «classic» epic literature included here added to the analyses of new or newly found epic voices jointly and severally attempt to propose an analytical and extensional redefinition of (the) epic.
