abstract
Shows how a group of advertising industry workers from Liuzhou, Guangxi, led by Zhou Jinzhang, who are fed-up with only able to buy vegetables grown with chemical fertilizer, formed "Farmer's Friend" to help poor farmers to turn to organic farming. Na She is the first cooperative they worked with. Its leader explains why farmers use chemicals in their farms. Zhou also taught them environmentally-friendly pig-farming. Shows how disappointed Zhou and his group was when they discovered that Na She reverted to using chemical fertilizers. Introduces a painter who returns to his village and farms with environmentally-friendly method.
