All 2nd ed. sheets have embossed stamp in upper margin indicating date of printing (1885-1890); all 3rd ed. sheets include dates of original survey and resurvey, and publication dates (1904-1914), some also with embossed stamp indicating date of printing (1905-1912).
Relief by contours and spot heights; shows water, roads, principal buildings, woods, boundaries and names of parishes and counties; later sheets include graphic index to adjoining sheets of the 1 inch map and to the six inch maps included in the sheet, and legend keying conventional signs.
