Electronic reproduction of materials selected from the William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections, Mills Memorial Library, McMaster University. The collection contains over 800 documents including photographs, photo albums, correspondence, newspapers, ephemera, personal collections, manuscripts and diaries. These firsthand accounts and photos capture the personal experience of many soldiers fighting on the front line during World War I. The documents relate to a wide range of locations and fronts during the War: Western, Eastern, African, Middle East, Gallipoli, naval war and war in the air.
