abstract
Andrew of Perugia travelled to Cambaliech (Peking) and Zaitun (Chʻüan-chou), the great medieval port in Fukien province near Amoy, where he eventually became a bishop. His letter of 1326 is described in The Mission to Asia: narratives and letters of the Franciscan missionaries in Mongolia and China in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries (p. 235-237)
