The collection focuses on the emergence of the Spiritualist movement and increased popularity of magic, conjuring and seances during the 19th century. It includes the ms. scrapbooks of Harry Houdini, and works by J.N. Maskelyne, David Devant, F.A. Mesmer and W.T. Stead.
