abstract
Part of a series which offers a view of Canada's past, by documenting events, aspects, and eras in Canadian history. Accompanying each set of slides is an instructional guide (in English and French) which contains a short essay on the topic, a discussion of the historical significance of each slide, a reading list, and suggested projects. Marie Blanchet is a fictitous character but her life and experiences are typical of her group at the turn of the century. The story takes place in 1908, and is typical of a large segment of the work force at that time.-
