A restored version of the feature film originally commissioned in 1919 by the Hudson's Bay Company to showcase their work and history in celebration of their 250th year in business. A camera crew went on a six-month expedition, travelling from Canadian coast to coast to coast, portraying the Hudson's Bay Company's fur trade industry in detail, showing their efforts to cross great distances to remote outposts to maintain their trade with the First Nations, Inuit and M├ętis. The film was released in 1920 and then disappeared until 2010 when the Hudson's Bay Company Archives made a request to the British Film Institute to have the nitrate reels returned to the collection, now housed in the Archives of Manitoba.
